  In line with our Admissions Policy, we meet and assess all children 

before enrolment to ensure we can meet their needs 

and provide an enabling environment for growth.

Our Assessment Process

• Conversations with parents about your child’s history, needs, and personality.
• Observations and informal play-based interactions.
• Reviewing existing  professional reports (e.g., SALT, OT, EHCPs).
• Using the Early Years Outcomes and Progress Check at 2 to identify      developmental stages.

These assessments help determine whether The Nurture Nest 

is the most suitable setting for your child and 

form the foundation for an individual support plan.

Following assessment, we develop personalised SMART goals and next-step targets following the Assess, Plan, Do, Review model 

(SEND Code of Practice 2015)
